portable version? what's it about?

Hi folks, I have recently found your tools (Angel's Vox and Mute on Lock). I notice on the pages for both that you have reference to "portable" versions, but on neither page does it really explain what that's about. I think some might assume it has something to running it on portable devices (PDA's, phones), but then perhaps you mean merely that it's a version that runs without an installer. I looked in the zip for MuteOnLock. I'm inclined to thing it's the latter.

But can you perhaps clarify for us, here and perhaps on the pages? :-) Thanks.

Hello Charlie!

The portable version of computer software program is a special edition that is able to run without the need to install files to the system it is run upon. It is commonly used on a removable storage device such as a CD, DVD, USB flash drive, flash card, or floppy disk. You can read more about portable software on Wikipedia, at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_software
