Foreigners VS Americans. Education fight!

Postby RobertMoore » Tue Jul 18, 2017 6:29 am

Americans can and do make the cut, but some public schools are indeed giving preferences to foreign students, even those less qualified than Americans, for the simple reason they pay full freight. Note also that the importation of foreigners through programs such as H1-B was intended to keep academic and research salaries DOWN--and has done so. A post-doc in a STEM field on average earns less than $50,000 a year. An American who did a graduate degree in a STEM field, especially a PhD is NEVER likely to recoup the money foregone in salary. Note also that industry admits there is NO SHORTAGE of undergraduate native born STEM students. (My nephew is one.) They claim they "need" to import those with graduate degrees, and not so coincidentally, foreign students will put up with lower salaries and worse working conditions than Americans would because they need to get a green card to remain here. It's not worth it to an American.

It's not the worst thing, however. Most of the foreign students in America come from China. Chinese students come not to study but for fun. Parents give them money and they do everything they want except studying. When they have to pass classes, they simple buy all papers at essay writing services. Just read this story about Grademiners as an example. The owner of blog, who is a Chinese student in the US, shares how he purchase essays at custom writing company. Do you think it's okay? They come to study and cheat.
